I have stumbled upon a great personality, the kind Pakistan badly needs today. Abdus Sattar Ehdi (sometimes Abdul Sattar Ehdi).
An ordinary looking bearded old man, he is the founder of Ehdi Foundation, that works for the poor and the deprived. He is said to have literally begged to run his foundation.
Now there is a talk going on to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize. Please check out on this page what you can do, if you too think that he deserves a Nobel.

I forgot to mention, he was born in Gujarat, India.
Why doesn’t he engage Indians also in the process? He can extend the facility to Indians and we can also help him.
You mean the Ehdi foundation?
Yes that would be a good idea!
Yeah, the foundation only. Ultimately doing for human does matter, for whom you’re doing hardly matters
.
Very well said Diganta.
It is very difficult to do in practice for most of the people. People might see ‘Pakistani involvement’ in Ehdi foundation. Then there will be a cry that it is a threat to Indian security. (Ehdi foundation has been targetted even in his own country; and our country too has it’s share of bigots)
The government (or rather the rogue elements in government, who form a very strong lobby in the govt anyway) will not allow such things very easily. A lot of people benefit from the conflict.
You’re absolutely correct.
we need people like Edhi everywhere. Thanks for informing he is was born in Gujarat India. Can somebody tell him Gujarat needs him.
What is the phone # for Ehdi Foundation in Canada?
